Week 10 - Motion comic examples and consultation

This week, Mr Hafiiz made a pre-recorded video. In the prerecorded video, Mr |Hafiz show us some references for animated comics.

A motion comic (or animated comic) is a form of animation combining elements of print comic books and animation. Individual panels are expanded into a full shot while sound effects, voice acting, and animation are added to the original artwork. (wikipedia)

Week 12 - Story Line Summary

Set-Up
The 3 Bestfriend, Bella, Peter and Jason are having fun in Riverlands Playground. They are building their respective sand statues according to the superhero they idolised. Jason and Peter share the ideology of forming a hero association just like what they see in superhero comics. Meanwhile, 3 adults who self-proclaimed themselves as delinquent and provoked the fantasy of Bella, Peter and Jason are silly ambitions. Peter couldn’t stand against the provocation and fought back with insults against the 3 adults.

Conflict
Peter had a fight against the boss of the delinquent but he didn’t stand a chance and lost badly. Jason and Bella are worrying about Peter. However, Peter has already been beaten badly. There is a female adult who is part of the 3 adults who found out about the sand statue that they are building. She destroyed the sand statues with her kick while insulting their fantasy as a childish dream. Jason took action and launched an iron man rocket missile directly at the boss. Unfortunately, the so-called “ missile” that Jason threw was just a mere stone that did no damage to the boss. Eventually, Jason was beaten up badly by the third bad guy. When the 2 friends are looking very pathetic and finally Bella takes action. A strong tension of aura was bursted out and terrified the 3 delinquents. Bella was holding her fist and charging toward her opponents fearlessly. Bella tripped and everyone was shocked. The 3 delinquents felt relieved and started to provoke Bella. When they are provoking her they see a big crack on the ground which is definitely caused by Bella.

Resolution
Emergency Evacuation is alerted and citizens are evacuating in hurry. It turns out that Bella is the Princess if Terror who causes a huge disaster a year ago. Before the delinquents can even react, one of the delinquents was sent flying instantly by Bella. The boss and female delinquents are attempting to escape but with just a jump by Bella, the female delinquent was taken down. All that is left is the boss of the delinquent. He is suppressed by the strong tension released by Bella and loses the hope of escaping. The delinquents have utterly been defeated and Bella rescued her 2 Best friends.

The moral of the story, no matter how arrogant or powerful you are, do not mess with the wrong person. A strong bonding friendship is something that cannot be broken easily.

REFLECTION

First of all, this task is the most fascinating and challenging assignment I have done so far. Due to the fact that this is the final project, I decided to fully unleash everything I have learnt from the past lectures and tasks. I wanted to create a comic that consists of comedy while fulfilling the criteria which is the fight scene. Therefore, the first author that came to my mind is One, the author of One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100. It has become the main inspiration and reference for my comic “ Kids These Days”. By learning its art skill and storyline, I was able to produce a decent outcome for my comic that I am satisfied with. Despite the difficulties in creating stories, designing characters, searching for suitable BGM, time limitations and video editing, I am able to accomplish my task on time. I am grateful for having this opportunity and satisfied with accomplishing such an impressive achievement.
