1. Idea Development
Biography about myself
My name is Ng Ee Chyn and people call me Ella. I enroll in Mass Communication
(Advertising and Brand Management) as my major and Creative Media Design as my
minor. The reason I chose Creative Media Design is that I am interested in
graphic motion and creative artwork. When I have free time, I spend time
watching anime, reading manga and playing games.
I love exploring and learning new things, and I'm constantly trying to push my
limits as well as challenge myself. For example, I have to enroll in both
internship and module in my final semester, which rarely happened.
Furthermore, my piano final exam was also landed as my current semester, which
increases the difficulty throughout this semester. Despite how stressful it
is, when I'm passionate about what I love to do, I believe nothing is
impossible.
To be honest, I don't have a specific dream, but when I want to achieve
something, I try my best, because you never know what you can do until you
try. Whenever I feel like giving up, I always motivate myself not to let what
I can't do interfere with what I can do. I afraid I will be more disappointed
by the things I did not do than the ones I did.
I will visualize myself with my favorite things, such as music, game, my
character and feeling in my artwork.
Statement about my work
I'm going to express my character, my thoughts and combination of my dreams
all in one frame. I’m going to create about my fantasy world or my
dream.
The concept of my artwork is to express my fantasy in one single poster. A
picture of me surrounded by things I love, the places I‘ve been, personality
and my feeling.
It is okay to have our own fantasy. This is a world filled with freedom,
where you can speak and act willingly. Do not feel ashamed about what you
like, do not care about how others look at you. Just always be yourself.

TITLE:
My Fantasy World
ARTIST STATEMENT:
Ever since we were young, we all must have at least one type of fantasy that we really desire for. Sometimes the narrative of the fantasy would seems logical but sometimes it would be just too exaggerated. In this poster, the appearance of the moon represents the time leap to my fantasy. The moment when I open my head, a bunch of various scenarios will burst out due to the overloaded fantasies that have been stuck in my head. It is about the places that I have been to such as Big Ben in London, the Colosseum in Italy, the Arc de Triomphe in France, Sensoji Temple in Japan, and combine them into a world or country, and all the buildings are with dance music.

REFLECTION
Final project has been the most emotional yet satisfying project I have ever done. It feels like eventually I am able to use all the tools and knowledge that I have learnt so far. Especially the 3D layering camera, the motion graphic design and tools exhibition. It is a meaningful project even though there are many ups and downs in between the process. I believe I have strongly improved my AfterEffect as well as my skills in various sections. I just feel very appreciated and grateful that I was given this opportunity to do such an amazing project.
